Manoel de Oliveira is currently the oldest working filmmaker, he is 103 years old and his newest film - Gebo and the Shadow premiered this September in Venice Film Festival. As he begun working on films in late 1920s, he is the only filmmaker whose active career has spanned from the silent era to the digital age.
